Empowering Special Learners – SEND Project Launched in Sekondi-Takoradi

Helplan Foundation proudly launched the first edition of the SEND Project at Twin City Special School in Sekondi-Takoradi, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to children with special educational needs.

The SEND Project focuses on children with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia, recognizing their unique learning styles and social needs. This initiative is built on the belief that these children are not limited — they are exceptionally gifted and deserve tools and attention tailored to their growth.

During the event, our team engaged with educators, caregivers, and the children themselves, offering:

  • Creative learning aids
  • Interactive social games
  • Support materials for use at school and at home
  • Training sessions on effective communication techniques

Our goal was simple yet powerful: to support their development and foster inclusive learning environments where no child is left behind.

This launch is just the beginning. With continued support, the SEND Project will grow to reach more communities and reshape how society views and nurtures special learners.
